Recycling Council of Alberta - "R's Of Excellence Award - Special Event Award"
On October 15, 2009, Bentall LP was awarded an "R's Of Excellence Award" for our second annual "Zero Waste Stampede Breakfast". The awards from the Recycling Council of Alberta are designed to recognize outstanding contributions to waste reduction, recycling and resource conservation in Alberta. This is a great example of our ongoing efforts to reduce the amount of waste material which ends up in the city landfills each year. We appreciate the continued support from our tenants to assist in our goals of waste reduction and will continue to look for ways at reducing our carbon footprint.
Bentall recognized by industry peers for Customer Service programs
On Wednesday, September 23rd, the operations and management team for BP Centre and Livingston Place was awarded the National PINNACLE Award for Customer Service at the national BOMA Conference (Building Owner’s and Management Association). An acronym for Promoting Innovation and Commitment to Long term Excellence, the PINNACLE Awards recognize innovation, teamwork, outstanding service and commitment to tenants.
We are very pleased to receive recognition from our peers for the efforts of our staff and the programs provided both locally and through Bentall’s National Real Estate Services group. This reinforces our ongoing commitment providing first class service to our tenants and their employees.
Bentall was also awarded the Pinnacle Award for Innovation for Bentall's Online Risk Information System (BORiS), our state-of-the art proprietary environmental risk management system. This program allows all of our properties to track environmental reports, incidents and site conditions on a web based platform.
The Pinnacle Award is a great achievement and is a reflection of the collective efforts of every member of the operations and management team. One of our key commitments is to ensure that we continue to listen to our tenants and your feedback is always appreciated.
Certificate of Excellence - BP Centre
BP Centre, built in 1988, received a Certificate of Excellence for the Earth Award at the annual BOMA Awards (Building Owners and Managers Association). With a score of over 90 points on a scale of 100, BP Centre demonstrated our commitment to sustainability, Occupational Health & Safety and the environment. Judging included review our emergency preparedness, waste management & recycling, environmental management, water and energy conservation as well as employee health and safety. The judges were especially complimentary about the condition of the building during the site tour with the pristine mechanical rooms indicating the care and attention of building operations.

City of Calgary Notice:
As part of the 7 Avenue LRT Refurbishment Project, the 3 Street S.W. Station will be closed.
There will be no disruption of downtown LRT services due to this work; however, trains will not stop at the current 3 Street S.W. station until construction of the new platform is complete.
Transit users are asked to plan their trips accordingly using either the 6 Street S.W. or 1 Street S.W. stations as alternatives.
